Join the Information Revolution in Biomedicine!
Please ask your high school and undergraduate students to join us onto explore careers in Biomedical Informatics. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is hosting a Career Day in Biomedical Informatics. Career Day in Biomedical Informatics will be held on the campus of UAMS on the First Floor of the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.
Biomedical Informatics is the field of using data to improve human health. Therefore, Career Day in Biomedical Informatics is designed to increase awareness of the vibrant careers that are devoted to collecting, managing, and applying data in biomedical research and healthcare. With the information presented at this Career Day in Biomedical Informatics, students can begin to identify and evaluate a potential career path into the field of biomedical informatics. The informational sessions will discuss critical topics related to career paths in biomedical informatics. These topics include;
· What is biomedical informatics?
· What careers are available?
· How does one get the skills and knowledge to get started in biomedical informatics?
· What is it like to work in the various specialty areas of the Biomedical Informatics field?
Students with interests and/or strengths in science, mathematics, information science, computer science, technology, and medicine are strongly encouraged to attend. There is no cost for attending this event. Lunch will also be provided. To attend, please complete the registration at the link below.
